All these new SON promos are nifty. :) I slept wrong last night and now my neck is all sore. Sucks. :(

I forgot to renew my LJ account this week so I had to go in and do that just now. Luckily I didn't lost anything...whew.

Things have been pretty hectic at work. Good but busy busy busy. I hope this woman coming in on Monday will be a good fit. She sounds great on paper so we'll see.

Ugh I've got to go get my car oil changed this morning. Boo! At least I get a hair cut after that. Ahhhh yes. I always feel better after that.

I've got to get this kitchen sink leak fixed. I hate it! And some how, some way I'm going to find myself a nice fridge. I'm tired of waiting around! LOL.

Finally a chance to update. Sadly, I'm up again and can't sleep but at least it'll give me time to update. Hopefully we will see the new HP movie today...need a need vacuum so any recommendations would be great.

Waiting for more tennis soon - U.S. Open starts in August.

Work is going well we've just been super busy since Danielle left. Hopefully we'll hire this one person we're meeting with week after next. Our newest branch opened in Frisco last week at Warren/Legacy. Kind of ugly to me but still...just means more stuff to set up, Ribbon Cutting to plan, advertising, blah, blah, blah. hahaha. This is why I never update. haha.

I need some new animated icons...hmmm.

Big Love is good but I'm still waiting for something good to happen with my favorites...

We went to dim sum yesterday for lunch - yummmmmmmmmmmmmmy. It doesn't help that I had two slices of pizza for dinner either but since I pretty much eat bird food during the week, I guess a free day now and then won't kill me. I hope! :O

We played VIRTUAL TENNIS 3 on XBOX 360 yesterday at Fry's and now I want it...then I'd never ever get anything done. :)

My Yee, my kitties, and the rest of my family are doing well. Cannot wait for our next three-day weekend so I can go to Austin again. I miss it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RUSTY! :)

The day has been pretty nice. I went to the thrift store with my mom and found this really awesome oriental-type rug for one of my bedrooms. It was a steal at only $25 bucks, especially for a rug that size. Nifty!

After our shopping was over, I came home and finished painting my hallway. It's been a while since I did the first coat and I just wanted to get it done. So I watched (well, "listened") to tennis while painting. That was fun. :) Now my kitties are starving and I don't want to feed them yet. haha.

We saw Ratatouille yesterday and it was really great. I'd like to see it again sometime soon. I freakin' love Pixar movies...

Has anyone here seen MAN VS. WILD on the Discovery Channel? Yee and I caught a marathon while we were in Austin over Memorial Day and now we watch it any time we can. Haha...Bear is insane, I swear. And yet I cannot look away. ;)

Alright I'm gonna go work out and finish up the BBQ chicken I'm making before Yee gets home from work. Hope you're all doing okay. :)

Man work was so hard for me today. Next week I'm off all week on my first vacation in two years so of course this week would be killer. One of the other girls in my office has been out and now she's going to be out again Friday leaving me along with the lady I don't like...great. It's okay but it just sucks because I had planned to leave a little early Friday. We'll see.

Oh well...at least I'm home now and I finally got to eat a decent meal. Ah frozen lean cuisine pizza...yes! :)

I had quite a scare this morning with my kitty, Maggie. Yesterday she wasn't eating much but she seemed fine otherwise so I didn't think it was anything major. This morning, however, she wasn't eating and her little ears were very warm. I got pretty worried because she wasn't moving around much or drinking water. Man, scary. So I called my vet and they said they were booked up but that I could take her to the emergency vet - that's like $90 dollars flat rate no matter what. So I decided to try this place near my house. It's not that I wouldn't pay that much - I was just afraid if it was nothing, I'd have to pay a lot for my silly mama kitty worries. LOL.

Anyways, the vet I went to turned out to be super nice and they only charged me for a normal exam, which is like $35 dollars. She ended up having a fever of 105 and they said since she didn't have any other illness symptoms that they were 99% sure it was a bacterial infection. The vet said my kitties were probably playing around and one probably got a nail stuck somewhere or something. I figure it may have been that, the litter box, or something she picked up off the floor. Since our dog is outside, you never know, but I was worried. So yeah...they gave her a shot and gave me some pills to give her and told me to bring her back if she's not better in a day or two. I was so relieved. With the medicine and everything it was about $88 dollars but it totally made me feel better.

She seems to be doing a little better now. Just really sleeping a lot and her ears aren't really warm anymore so I hope that means she's on the mend. Poor kitty.

I just came back from the vet this morning and cleaned the house, the litter boxes, did all I could to make sure nothing made her sick. I'm such a dork but I can't help it. She's like my kid, yo! Yee helped me clean and now she's passed out again. LOL. So cute. We didn't even eat lunch until after 1. I'm just going to try and relax the rest of the day. Ah...

Call Veronica Mars, our newspaper is missing this morning at the office. I'm normally the first one here and get it without hassle but for some reason, it's missing this morning. Boo! LOL. I mostly wanted to check the grocery ads and then do my normal "Bank Rate Check" for work. Fun, I know. Where is the paper? I wonder if Dick has it. Yes, his name is Dick. Not cute and gay like the Dick from RULES OF ATTRACTION but old and boring like, well...Cheney monster.

My female co-workers totally take advantage of this name - and yes, they are all older than me. Ah maturity ;) Okay, I admit it's funny when they say " is out looking for Dick..." What can you say?

I'm working on our monthly employee e-newsletter and listening to the latest album from Fountains of Wayne. It's light and goes well with my coffee. Ah...

And Diane is here...one of my co-workers/boss. She's the one who caused all the issues with me a few weeks back. I hate it when we're here alone. It always makes me feel uncomfortable. LOL. She's not a "scary" lady or anything. It's just...you never know when she's going to walk up and ask you do something for her. Granted, I'm a team player but this lady...I don't know how to put it...she's just...demanding, ungrateful, and not a very good communicator. 'Nough said.

So everyone reading this should see WAITRESS, it's such a great, great little film. I've got to remember to buy it when it comes out on DVD. Our little 'Felicity' is all grown up. Sniff! :)

Top Chef tonight - hopefully there will be someone I actually like this season as much as I liked Sam last season. If not, I guess I'll stop watching. It's no fun if you can't root for somebody hot. Haha. It's like Big Brother without Dr. Will. ;)

Only a week and a half away from my first real week of vacation in almost 2 years. Thank the LORD! I don't really have any plans but I'm so happy about it. Hopefully it'll be sunny and stop raining long enough for me to enjoy it some.

We did see KNOCKED UP this weekend, which was hilarious. The previous weekend we saw WAITRESS, which is probably the best film I've seen all year. So check those out if you haven't already.

Man, I haven't written in so long. I'm sorry. It seems I'm just too busy being a dork to write. LOL.

We went to Austin over Memorial Day weekend and it was really, really great. I can't wait to go again.

Everything was fine at work until last Friday. I had an issue come up with one of the ladies I work with. I guess she thinks I work for her but that's not really quite clear. Anyways, it was a very small misunderstanding but her approach to dealing with it was a little bitchy. She pretty much complimented me and belittled me at the same time. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt that she didn't mean to be a bitch and that she just sucks at communicating with people but still...it really pissed me off. I will try to talk to my REAL boss (her boss too) about it sometime this week but I need to get my thoughts together before I address it. I don't want to come across the wrong way, you know? Anyways, just keep your fingers crossed that I can figure it out and that she doesn't do that again. 'Cause if she does...it's done. That bitch is going DOWN. LOL. I went through enough bullshit at my old job that I'm not going to do it again. Especially when my actual boss loves me and thinks I'm one of the hardest working people she's ever met. So yeah...bring it on!

Alright what else? It has rained and rained and rained here. GLOBAL WARMING! It didn't rain for months and now it's like everywhere. Interesting! :)

I'm pretty much done with TV - all my shows get cancelled. Okay, not ALL but most...you know I'll still watch TV...haha.

I've been totally obsessed with tennis this past week and weekend. French Open, baby! Go Federer! Go Nadal! Go Williams! It's gonna be AWESOME! It needs to be the weekend so I can see the finals already. *bites lip nervously* I'm so nervous! C'mon!

Holy crap what the BEEP happened on BSG last night? Oh my god! I can only hope to understand...and yet...herm! I wonder...

The L Word was good - too bad the whole Shane/Paige thing is gonna blow up since K isn't coming back next year. LAME! Down the tubes just like Lara. :P I squeed when they did the dream sequence with Shane all dressed as a guy. Jake anyone? Hee! :) I'm still shipping Tina and Bette...stupid Jodie...nobody cares! haha.

I'm glad Veronica Mars is coming back May 1st...who knows if it'll get renewed but...*sigh*

We won free tickets to see RENT at the Bass Concert Hall tomorrow night - I can't wait! I hope it's fun since we're driving over an hour. :) Still, the seats are close and it was free so WOO!

Good morning everyone! It's been such a long time since I've updated and I have no idea what to say...

FIRST OFF, Congrats to Christian and Elise on their wedding - you two are adorable and I'm so happy for you! :)

Yesterday was mine and Yee's 1 year anniversary - holy shitballs! Can you believe it? I can't. Okay, I can. :) Anywho, we've had so much fun this past year and I didn't even get to recap our Austin trip from last week - I'm sorry I suck so hard. Haha. I'll try to find a photo or two and post it if you want.

Let's see...what else...my review went great. I got my tax return. Woot. I'm still trying to get my house fixed up - slowly but surley - without digging myself into a debt hole. I finally paid off all my debt - minus the big stuff like car and house - and it's pretty nifty. I feel all grown up now. :)

Hmm...what else...Veronica and Piz are the shit. Spencer and Ashley still rock. GIRLTRASH is the latest thing to drive me crazy. Still watching BSG and a little Amazing Race. Yee's got me into AI...I know, I know...but whateva.

Um...still love FOOD. Haha. Still love cooking. Still love gay boys. And gay girls. And straight ones, too. Haha.

Uh...I dunno what else. One of my cats may be sick but I can't really pinpoint anything other than potty behavior. Cross your fingers it's nothing.

My mom retired and I'm still reeling from that. I miss my brother.

My job is great and I'm blessed.

Plus the weather is pretty awesome right now.

So the Dixie Chicks won a bunch of Grammys - hell yesh! That's right, bitches! Take that, Reba...hahahahahaha. Sweet justice. :)

What else...my review went really, really well. I guess my old job screwed me up cause my boss said "I don't know how anyone so talented could have so little confidence." Well, gee, probably because I had gotten SCREWED at the old job. LOL. But yay for them loving me - at least I feel important and I'll work on my confidence.

My mom told me this weekend that she retired from her job - at 50 - because she's 'disabled' and she doesn't feel like she can do her job anymore. Um, it's hard for me to agree with this on many levels. I love her so much but I truly believe my mom is going to regret this. I dunno...maybe after last year she just had too much going on and the stress was impossible but...god, I dunno. I've never, ever thought of my mom as disabled and it kills me to see her do this. It's like she's using her handicap and I hate it. Because that's not who my mom is. *sigh* But what can I say? She may regret is someday but...it's her choice. I love her and I've just got to try and support her. I just...can't believe it.

On a different note, Yee's sick and I hope I don't get it, too. We're going to Austin this weekend and I really want us both to have fun. Poor Yee.

Man, I ate too much this weekend. What a failure! I'll have to clean up this week and make up for it. It's so easy during the week, just hard on the weekend. Boo!

Man, today is slow. So slow that I actually have time to update. Can you believe it? It's been ages, I know. I just...haven't felt like writing much down lately.

Work has been good. Colonial actually rang the New York Stock Exchange bell yesterday - that's pretty nifty. :) Work has been pretty steady and I'm waiting to find out how my employee review went. Hopefully well. I'm not expecting much but as long as my boss is happy, I'm fine. Seriously.

Lori isn't here today and that sucks. She's out sick. She's pretty much my buddy at work now. We eat lunch together and jazz - it's cool. It doesn't hurt that she's in HR either. LOL. Anyways, we had dinner with her the other night outside of work and I was trying to explain to her about me and Yee but it's tough - you know - cause I can't exactly say one thing or another. I'm in between! LOL. But it's alright. I'll figure it out. I know no one cares here but at the same time I didn't trust people much after VAG. Which sucks, but now I feel like I need to say something since we live together - and it's only fair that people know. So I just...need to find the right time to say it without looking like a sneaky liar. Wish me luck.

So Yee's poor dog died last week and we ended up taking in the other one from Frisco. She's a sweet dog but a tad overweight. I walked her yesterday and it was fun but I'm still a cat person. I can't help it!

Our anniversary is coming up and we're planning a trip to Austin. I'm so excited! I just hope I don't eat myself to death. Haha...

The Grammys and the Oscars are coming up but I'm not real thrilled about them. Who knows? Maybe if someone or something I like wins I'll get happy again. Blah!

My mind is all over the place today - I can't help myself. Forgive this random update but at least I'm trying to keep you folks in the loop. :)
